#DINEWITHME: TORAZOU RAMEN RESTAURANT/ 虎蔵拉麵, KUCHAI LAMA (KL)

Running out of idea where to dine when your group of friends have different taste on their own? Some might like sushi, some prefers Ramen and the rest would like to have Taiwanese cuisine or perhaps Korean? You don't have to scratch your head thinking how to please everyone. Here's one restaurant that fits in all the criteria - A little bit of everything does the trick.

Located at Kuchai Entrepenuers Park in between the busy shop lots, hub a little restaurant that serves pretty good ramen with a touch of fusion in its menu. If you ever been to any of the Ippudo Ramen before, this restaurant serves similar taste of Ramen and the broth is quite delicious!

Welcome to TORAZOU RAMEN RESTAURANT!

I came across to this Ramen place through a friend of mine while we were all chatting in WhatsApp discussing where to go for lunch last weekend.

Once entered, you can see brightly lit Japanese drawings displaying through light boxes on the wall. It was pretty cool. On the left, is the ramen kitchen where you can see chef preparing fresh ramen noodles from scratch.

As mentioned earlier, this Ramen restaurant does not only serves ramen but fusion dishes. So, the dishes available here are quite interesting. Let's start with the ramen pages and follow by the rest!

From ramen to sushi, TORAZOU RAMEN RESTAURANT also serves Korean bibimbap, Char Siu and Taiwanese Kakuni bun! Weird combo, but yes you heard me right.

While my buddies tried on the ramen noodles, I go for the side dishes. I quite like the Gyoza here. The meat is juicy inside and it could be better if they add some ginger slices in the dipping sauce.

Gyoza - 5 pieces (RM 8.00)

Mentai Set (RM 14.80)
Inclusive of Kani (Crab stick), Egg (Tamago), Shrimp (Ebi), Salmon and Ika (Squid)

RECOMMENDED: Ika Maru Yaki (RM 22.00)

You've gotta try this giant squid!
Very thick and chewy cuts of squid, grilled to perfection.

I did not tried much on the ramen but I had few sips of the broth and a spoonful of ramen with charsiu. The ramen is chewy and milky thick broth is delicious; quite similar with Ippudo's.

Big Charsiu Ramen (RM 20.90)

Torazou King Ramen (RM 18.90)

The food was up to the standard but unfortunately the service wasn't that cool. The staffs did not walk around to check on the customers' table and we have to call repeatedly  for our tea refills. The serving time was also quite slow - or maybe it was me who is impatient due to my growling stomach?

The overall dining is fine but could be improve on the services. I would be more happy to visit this restaurant again in the future. After the lunch, we hop to another cafe for some coffee. Wanna know where? Stay tune for my next post!

#DINEWITHME: THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR | SS15, SUBANG JAYA (KL)

Whooppsss...I just had my dinner!  What am I doing here? Come on, it's Friday! Let's chill a 'lil - Dinner extended. To be frank, I don't have much time to spend around ever since I've joined an award-winning agency few months ago. Life's pretty hectic everyday, with extreme workload and countless days of overtime.  And just because I have relocated myself to another area, my hangout place changes too. What makes the best option would be the one nearest to my office, with less traffic congestion.  Thanks to my bunch of friends whom always put me on a priority, they make the effort to come to a meeting point near me instead.  I was brought to this restaurant the other day by my friends and I found it quite a waste not to share such an interesting place with all of you.  Let me introduce you to -  THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR. Upon walking in, I was amazed by their simple yet welcoming ambiance. I was ushered in by rows of wine displ...

#DINEWITHME: YUK SOU HIN | WEIL HOTEL (IPOH)

Done with my busy schedules, I finally have the time to sit down and blog about my dining experience at YUK SOU HIN @ WEIL HOTEL (IPOH) which took place about two months ago.  I was being invited by the hotel's PR Team at the first place to drop by and review the dim sum which was spearheaded by their   Hong Kong Master Chef, Mr. Chung Ho Shi but unfortunately I'm unable to attend. Later after that, I visited the restaurant with my mum when I dropped by in Ipoh the other day.  It was a busy morning. We went to the restaurant around 11am without any advance reservation, and it took us about 25 minutes to settle down with a table.  The restaurant was packed with customers that day, due to Public Holiday.  Not my first dining experience at Weil Hotel,  YUK SOU HIN  is the final restaurant to wrap up my adventure at this new hotel besides than  THE DECK  and  TIFFIN .  Bored while waiting, I started to explore around and tappin...
