#CHILLWITHME : PS150 | CHINATOWN (KL)

Dark and Mysterious.

A hidden bar housed in a pre-war shop which was once a brothel at the end of Petaling Street. PS150 is designed to bring you travel back in time to three distinct eras in the history of Indochina. Located under the popular coffee shop Merchant's Lane, PS150
which still maintain much of its pre-war building's character, snakes around a tiny stationery shop.

Don't call it a speakeasy. PS150 is not a speakeasy bar. Behind the peeling brick walls, this bar offers a dramatic and atmospheric scene in the depths of the shop.

Main Entrance to the bar

What makes PS150 different from the rest is its concept. This bar is divided into three different areas; the first area is an Opium-inspired den which accommodate 10 people at best, second is the courtyard that provide a more spacious open air concept for bigger group to chill in and lastly, the Main Bar.

Behind this secret door is where all the action begins...

An adventurous tipple waits the bold at PS150. This is the place to transport you in time and space! The cocktails draws bold Southeast Asian flavors; with a cocktail list divided into five distinct eras in the history of this mixed beverage: Vintage (Pre-prohibition | 1850s - 1910s), Classic (1920s - 1930s), Tiki (1940s - 1960s), Disco (1970s - 2000s) and Contemporary (late 2000s - present).

Temptations included the cocktail from the Dark Ages, Lychee No.3 (RM 39) - a perfected version by Angel Ng (the chief bartender  of PS150) and Poisoned Princess (RM 150 / RM 300) a cocktail good for 3 to 6 people that has Tequila, Mescal, Absinthe, Raspberry, Lime and Soda.

Didn't know which to choose from the extensive lists, we gave a try on the Asamboi Margarita, Bee's Knees - PS150's Edition and Malaya 24.

Asamboi Margarita (RM 39)
Preserved plum tequila, triple sec, calamansi, asamboi syrup
(Sweet-Sour, Sharp, Long-Finishing)

Bee's Knees : PS150's Edition (RM 39)
Lemongrass London dry gin, lemon, ginger honey
(Honey-Sweet, Lemon-Lime zest, soft spice)

Malaya 24 (RM 45)
Haig Club Single Grain Whisky, Homemade Pandan Vanilla Soy Milk, Gula Melaka
(Creamy, Nutty, Sweet)

Don't miss out the fun! In conjunction with Haig Club Media Challenge, PS150 is giving out a complimentary mini Haig Club bottle as a reward for those who finish four of any of the Haig Club cocktails*.

& Ralf (Malaya 24)

Do expect full-house any day of the week. In fact, it isn't something strange here. If you are interested to check this place out, do make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment. It may  take a little longer to get your drinks served; we know it's not an easy job for three individual to share the responsibility to serve a crazy crowd.

I highly recommend this place for those who like a little dark and romantic action. If you have yet to visit this place, PS150 should be on your bucket lists. As for me, PS150 is definitely the bar that I will re-visit again.

#DINEWITHME: THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR | SS15, SUBANG JAYA (KL)

Whooppsss...I just had my dinner!  What am I doing here? Come on, it's Friday! Let's chill a 'lil - Dinner extended. To be frank, I don't have much time to spend around ever since I've joined an award-winning agency few months ago. Life's pretty hectic everyday, with extreme workload and countless days of overtime.  And just because I have relocated myself to another area, my hangout place changes too. What makes the best option would be the one nearest to my office, with less traffic congestion.  Thanks to my bunch of friends whom always put me on a priority, they make the effort to come to a meeting point near me instead.  I was brought to this restaurant the other day by my friends and I found it quite a waste not to share such an interesting place with all of you.  Let me introduce you to -  THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR. Upon walking in, I was amazed by their simple yet welcoming ambiance. I was ushered in by rows of wine displayed

#DINEWITHME: YUK SOU HIN | WEIL HOTEL (IPOH)

Done with my busy schedules, I finally have the time to sit down and blog about my dining experience at YUK SOU HIN @ WEIL HOTEL (IPOH) which took place about two months ago.  I was being invited by the hotel's PR Team at the first place to drop by and review the dim sum which was spearheaded by their   Hong Kong Master Chef, Mr. Chung Ho Shi but unfortunately I'm unable to attend. Later after that, I visited the restaurant with my mum when I dropped by in Ipoh the other day.  It was a busy morning. We went to the restaurant around 11am without any advance reservation, and it took us about 25 minutes to settle down with a table.  The restaurant was packed with customers that day, due to Public Holiday.  Not my first dining experience at Weil Hotel,  YUK SOU HIN  is the final restaurant to wrap up my adventure at this new hotel besides than  THE DECK  and  TIFFIN .  Bored while waiting, I started to explore around and tapping on my Iphone.  While wai
