#DINEWITHME: (UN) FASHION CAFE | EKKAMAI (BANGKOK)

About 10 minutes walk from Ekkamai BTS Station, this cottage-caravan look-a-like building housed a tiny lil' cafe that serves extremely good coffee & food. (UN) FASHION CAFE - Not only operates as a cafe that provide relaxing place for a piece of cake or a cup of coffee, it also offers affordable vintage wear for all fashionistas. If you are doing cafe hoping around Thong Lor area, include this one in your itinerary!



You might over-look this place when walking along the main road as the cafe might look rather old; like a rusty caravan from outside, but what the cafe offers will certainly satisfy your appetite. (UN) FASHION CAFE consists of a lower & upper deck and an outdoor area.

(UN) FASHION CAFE's menu included a variety choices of Cakes, Pies, Waffles, Western Dishes and drinks. What caught my attention was the Waffle and Chocolate Cheese Cake, so we decided to gave it a try. 




To be a champ, you need to eat like one!

If you're a coffee lover, go on to try this one.

You can tell how delicious the waffles are by looking at it! The waffles are so light and fluffy, paired with fresh cut fruits and a drizzle of honey - Oh just made my day!

Here's another dessert that I'd like to recommend - Chocolate Cheese Cake. The cake is full with chocolate & cheese goodness; extremely good I must say!

On the savoury side, we started off with the Smoked Salmon Caesar Salad. Dive in to a plate of luxury salad; where each and every bite is guaranteed to satisfy. The salad is served with a generous amount of smoked salmon slices - your protein pack of the day!

My overall experience at (UN) FASHION CAFE was good; despite they actually forgotten to place to place order for my Caesar Salad and Spaghetti Bolognese. Other than that, it was one incredible dining experience. I'll be back soon for more!

#COOKWITHME: KOREAN CORNBREAD / OKSUSU-PPANG (옥수수빵)

Hands up if you are big fan of #Corn ! Today we are going to make Cornbread, the Korean style - Oksusu-Ppang Oksusu (옥수수)  = Corn  Ppang (빵)  = Bread What is Oksusu-Ppang (옥수수빵) actually?  It is the memory of people who went to school decades before The American government was supporting Koreans' nutrition by sending them tons and tons of cornmeal. Some got the idea to make cornbread out of it and distribute the bread through the school system. After Korean War the school provided this daily snack to the students just before last class was finished. Oksusu-Ppang has an intense corn flavor and it's fluffy like a sponge.
