#TRAVELWITHME : PHUKET | THAILAND 2018

Living the life of rich kids in Phuket, Thailand.

How do you like a stay in a gigantic private villa above the hill where you have a hard time finding your ways inside the connecting mansions or sailing through the evening by a luxury yacht to your desired island while watching the sunset?

Well, of course, there's a price to pay to enjoy these luxury lifestyle. Worth it or not? I'll leave it for you to judge.

It was a rush trip and I can't barely feel that I was away for a few days to Phuket. Our arrival at Phuket Airport took two hours for some of our trip members to get out from the custom. 😑 Tired, hungry and a shower badly in need, we were stranded at the airport for the longest time. When we managed to gather everyone, the mini van booked by the villa left without informing (There were 24 of us with luggages) #DisasterPart2

Lucky enough, I managed to get myself an extremely cheap local SIM pack for tourist immediately right after I checked out from the custom. Without thinking any further, I gave a call to the agent and complaint about it. The agent told us to get our mini van rental service outside the counter and claim it back from the villa later. And so we did.

The minivan driver was very strict; he won't allow us to stop by the mini market / 7-Eleven to top up our stomach. But, he sent us to this local travel agency and was forced to get down and listen to their packages. I refused to get / sign up for any service here, and hop back to the van not long after that. Disappointed, they sent us to the villa.

We finally arrived at the villa after ding dong here and there and we were welcomed by the villa manager at the door. She showed me around the villa so that I can allocate the rooms out for everybody.

Well, let's begin with the villa infos.

Day 3 - Free & Easy

Rainy day and we were all stranded right after our massage at Patong Area. There's nothing much we can do but to wait a while and took a tuk tuk to Kata Beach for dinner.

Dinner was at THE BOATHOUSE @ Kata Beach. A 5-stars Fine Dining restaurant in Phuket overlooking the beach. Meh - Can't see anything at night tho! The environment was fine with jazz band performances, but the Kobe Beef Steak was a disappointment. A few of us ordered it and had the same feeling too - Either it was not the finest cut, not cook perfectly nor it was not fresh. The feeling and taste was hard to describe. The rest of the food was fair. The cocktail was a bit tasteless too. Can't taste the real Mojito at all - Just some soda, peppermint & lime taste.

Kobe Beef Steak (THB 2,300) / RM 290
Rating: 3/10 😐

After dinner was done, we left back to the villa. The ride from Kata Beach to La Colline was a nightmare and I ended up puking  in the toilet when arrived. Not a pleasant trip at all this time.

Day 4

It's time to leave.

Woke up very early to ensure the chef prepare our breakfast and consolidate all the expenses with the Villa Manager. Broken wine glasses & Dead Flamingo (Inflatable), etc has a price tag to pay. 😆

#DINEWITHME: THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR | SS15, SUBANG JAYA (KL)

Whooppsss...I just had my dinner!  What am I doing here? Come on, it's Friday! Let's chill a 'lil - Dinner extended. To be frank, I don't have much time to spend around ever since I've joined an award-winning agency few months ago. Life's pretty hectic everyday, with extreme workload and countless days of overtime.  And just because I have relocated myself to another area, my hangout place changes too. What makes the best option would be the one nearest to my office, with less traffic congestion.  Thanks to my bunch of friends whom always put me on a priority, they make the effort to come to a meeting point near me instead.  I was brought to this restaurant the other day by my friends and I found it quite a waste not to share such an interesting place with all of you.  Let me introduce you to -  THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR. Upon walking in, I was amazed by their simple yet welcoming ambiance. I was ushered in by rows of wine displ...

#DINEWITHME: YUK SOU HIN | WEIL HOTEL (IPOH)

Done with my busy schedules, I finally have the time to sit down and blog about my dining experience at YUK SOU HIN @ WEIL HOTEL (IPOH) which took place about two months ago.  I was being invited by the hotel's PR Team at the first place to drop by and review the dim sum which was spearheaded by their   Hong Kong Master Chef, Mr. Chung Ho Shi but unfortunately I'm unable to attend. Later after that, I visited the restaurant with my mum when I dropped by in Ipoh the other day.  It was a busy morning. We went to the restaurant around 11am without any advance reservation, and it took us about 25 minutes to settle down with a table.  The restaurant was packed with customers that day, due to Public Holiday.  Not my first dining experience at Weil Hotel,  YUK SOU HIN  is the final restaurant to wrap up my adventure at this new hotel besides than  THE DECK  and  TIFFIN .  Bored while waiting, I started to explore around and tappin...
