One of the recommended dish to try out is the Deep Fried Onion Flower served with brown sauce. Unlike any other you have tasted before, this deep fried onion is so crunchy and sweet. You can also try the grilled skewers; inspired by the owner by her travel through the Silk Road. The grilled skewers are dusted generously with their special herbs and spices that gives the flavors of the street food found in many cities throughout the Silk Road.

As for appetizers, we started off with the chicken wings from My Wing Man. All chicken wings are priced at RM 18 per portion. The chicken wings are prepared by coating with oatmeals, deep fried and lightly tossed in your choice of sauce. It's available in Old Fashion BBQ Coffee, Old Fashioned Spicy Chocolate, Spicy Korean Bean Paste, E&B Sambal, Tomato Tango, Kung Fu - Kong Po, Japanese Curry, Peppery Brown Sauce & Cencaluk. We sampled the Old Fashion BBQ Coffee flavor.

To my advice, you have to eat it immediately, or otherwise, it gets soggy very fast. Unfortunately, on the taste wise, we can't really taste the coffee flavor. Each serving comes with 3 pairs of wings.

Moving on to our main dish.

Since we can't figure out what to order from the menu, we gave a try on the January's Promotion - Seafood Lovers Deal. A meal serves for two people, which included one Spanner crab by weight, 500gm Yabbies, corn, button mushrooms and coleslaw with the sauce of your choice. You can choose from normal sauces (Zesty Lemon or Garlic Butter) or if you're on a fiery side, you can have them in spicy sauces (Jamba-Jamba or Signature Southern Bang). Since I can't really take spicy stuffs, we go for the Zesty Lemon.

Seafood Lovers Deal (Meal for 2 person) RM 169.60
Spanner crab 680gm (RM 81.60) + Yabbies 500gm (RM 88)
Corn, Button mushrooms & Coleslaw
Zesty Lemon sauce

Unsure about how I felt about this order, I would suggest you to choose something else than the Spanner Crab; which only has a huge shell and claws but almost meatless inside. Forget about the gigantic shell which has totally NO MEAT in it, you only left the claws part which is really hard to crack and nothing much on the inside. Well, maybe you can try to opt for a bigger size?

Yabbies too, looked meaty from the outside, but after a whole painstaking process peeling the shells off, it only came out to about 10 tiny little meat chunks to feast for. As for the sauce, it was overly seasoned with pepper. I thought it was "Lemon Pepper" instead. Just too much pepper I can say. High alert for sore throat the next day.

For the price tag and all dirty job to be considered, which I also cut my finger when cracking the shells, I don't think I will order this again the next time when I am here despite the sauce tasted fine. Oysters or a whole Red Lobster are a wiser choice if I were to compare.

Keropok Lekor

Before leaving, we took some photos while checking out the surroundings.

Bloated like a goldfish...I'm so full...

#DINEWITHME: THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR | SS15, SUBANG JAYA (KL)

Whooppsss...I just had my dinner!  What am I doing here? Come on, it's Friday! Let's chill a 'lil - Dinner extended. To be frank, I don't have much time to spend around ever since I've joined an award-winning agency few months ago. Life's pretty hectic everyday, with extreme workload and countless days of overtime.  And just because I have relocated myself to another area, my hangout place changes too. What makes the best option would be the one nearest to my office, with less traffic congestion.  Thanks to my bunch of friends whom always put me on a priority, they make the effort to come to a meeting point near me instead.  I was brought to this restaurant the other day by my friends and I found it quite a waste not to share such an interesting place with all of you.  Let me introduce you to -  THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR. Upon walking in, I was amazed by their simple yet welcoming ambiance. I was ushered in by rows of wine displayed

#DINEWITHME: YUK SOU HIN | WEIL HOTEL (IPOH)

Done with my busy schedules, I finally have the time to sit down and blog about my dining experience at YUK SOU HIN @ WEIL HOTEL (IPOH) which took place about two months ago.  I was being invited by the hotel's PR Team at the first place to drop by and review the dim sum which was spearheaded by their   Hong Kong Master Chef, Mr. Chung Ho Shi but unfortunately I'm unable to attend. Later after that, I visited the restaurant with my mum when I dropped by in Ipoh the other day.  It was a busy morning. We went to the restaurant around 11am without any advance reservation, and it took us about 25 minutes to settle down with a table.  The restaurant was packed with customers that day, due to Public Holiday.  Not my first dining experience at Weil Hotel,  YUK SOU HIN  is the final restaurant to wrap up my adventure at this new hotel besides than  THE DECK  and  TIFFIN .  Bored while waiting, I started to explore around and tapping on my Iphone.  While wai
