DINE WITH ME: Hari Raya Day #2

#IPOH CITY, the food paradise. Famous for its delicacies, you'll definitely have plenty of choices to choose from which there are numerous restaurants, coffee shops, hawkers centre and food court around town cater to different tastes and budget. With abundance of good food available to be explore, you wouldn't want to miss any of them!

But hey, wait! While Old Town White Coffee outlets mushrooming all over Malaysia, have you ever wonder where's the root of the menace?  NAM HEONG - The Origin of Old Town White Coffee outlets. A visit to Nam Heong Coffee Shop and take a sip on the perfect blend of White Coffee is a must for #coffee-lovers.

Originally located at Jalan Bandar Timah, they are expanding their business to serve a bigger crowd, in a better environment and a systematic way! However, do expect busy crowd especially during holiday season.

Stunningly looking with a modern architectural facade from the main road, Nam Heong's new outlet is open for business at SOHO IPOH. If you've been to the old Nam Heong, parking is normally an issue especially during busy hours.

Worry-free now as ample amount of car park are available for you to park your car safely when you dine here. And it's free of charge too!

Once arrived, proceed to the ticketing counter to get a number while being seated. They have different categories for seating, which differs from 2pax, 4pax, 6pax, etc. This allow the patrons to be seated with a minimal waiting time especially during busy crowd.

What attracts me is the "MeCanOrder" app which you can download and have a glimpse of the menu and place a PRE-ORDER even before you reach the place! Now, that's easy right?

Here's how the App look like when Signed In to your account:-

Like any other traditional kopitiams, you might be left unattended by the hawker stall aunty/uncle when you want to place an order. Here, all you need to do is to reach the Ipad on your table, flip the menu and place your order in a digital way!

What's in the Ipad?
(Recommended authentic Ipoh's famous food)

Once order confirmed, click on the button and wait patiently. The staff will then pass you your receipt and you'll be requested to make the payment before food is served.

Yes,  food & drinks are CHEAP!

While waiting for my food, I snapped a few photos of the crowds. Here's how the interior look like

Beyond my expectation, food is served in a timely manner. Waited for 10 minutes before my first order arrived. First to be served on the table is the famous Chicken Hor Fun, followed by Dry Curry Noodles (mum ordered this) and Curry Noodles. Also, not forgetting my glass of "Cham Ice", of course!

Chicken Hor Fun (RM 6.20)

Dry Curry Noodles (RM 6.20)

Curry Noodles (RM 6.20)

"Cham" Ice (RM 2.20)

P/S: Sorry, no make-up today

If you are too full to take the stairs down, there's always an alternative way upon exit.

Satisfied with the food and service, I then left the place with a picture of me and "Nam Heong"

If you're around #Ipoh town, drop by for an awesome cup of coffee!

#DINEWITHME: THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR | SS15, SUBANG JAYA (KL)

Whooppsss...I just had my dinner!  What am I doing here? Come on, it's Friday! Let's chill a 'lil - Dinner extended. To be frank, I don't have much time to spend around ever since I've joined an award-winning agency few months ago. Life's pretty hectic everyday, with extreme workload and countless days of overtime.  And just because I have relocated myself to another area, my hangout place changes too. What makes the best option would be the one nearest to my office, with less traffic congestion.  Thanks to my bunch of friends whom always put me on a priority, they make the effort to come to a meeting point near me instead.  I was brought to this restaurant the other day by my friends and I found it quite a waste not to share such an interesting place with all of you.  Let me introduce you to -  THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR. Upon walking in, I was amazed by their simple yet welcoming ambiance. I was ushered in by rows of wine displ...

#DINEWITHME: YUK SOU HIN | WEIL HOTEL (IPOH)

Done with my busy schedules, I finally have the time to sit down and blog about my dining experience at YUK SOU HIN @ WEIL HOTEL (IPOH) which took place about two months ago.  I was being invited by the hotel's PR Team at the first place to drop by and review the dim sum which was spearheaded by their   Hong Kong Master Chef, Mr. Chung Ho Shi but unfortunately I'm unable to attend. Later after that, I visited the restaurant with my mum when I dropped by in Ipoh the other day.  It was a busy morning. We went to the restaurant around 11am without any advance reservation, and it took us about 25 minutes to settle down with a table.  The restaurant was packed with customers that day, due to Public Holiday.  Not my first dining experience at Weil Hotel,  YUK SOU HIN  is the final restaurant to wrap up my adventure at this new hotel besides than  THE DECK  and  TIFFIN .  Bored while waiting, I started to explore around and tappin...

Some got the idea to make cornbread out of it and distribute the bread through the school system.
