#CHILLWITHME: MOVIDA KITCHEN + TERRACE, IPOH

Hello! Sending my love from Ipoh this week.

Being like a "tourist' myself, I pretty much not knowing about hang out places; let alone the newly opened hotspots around Ipoh town. If you were to asked me to meet up at bla bla bla...I would have answered you, means where? Pathetic, yes I am.

Well, seemed to be new in Ipoh, MOVIDA KITCHEN + TERRACE make it to my visit list this round. I seldom hang around at the KL's ones, but to the fact that I saw one of my friend's status posted on Facebook "Anyone tonight?? — at Movida Ipoh"I went to pay him a visit while checking out on that place.

Not knowing how to make my way there, I used Waze! It directed me to the destination precisely. Movida is located somewhere near Pusing Public Seafood Restaurant. Something similar with other branches, Movida Ipoh consists of Indoor and Terrace area.

Upon arrival, I was welcomed by the lovely DJ Logen who was spinning there that night. Thanks for the welcome announcement of mine (Hahaha...you made my day). Even my mum was shocked that I actually knew someone here at Movida Ipoh. Calm down mama..calm down.

I brought along my mum, aunt and uncle whom hailed down from KL for the night out. It was pretty quiet when we arrived. Since we already had our dinner earlier on, we settled down for some drinks and a pizza to munch with while enjoying the music. If you like to play darts while chilling with some cold beer, dart machines are available here too.

Smoked Salmon Flambe (RM 24.67)

Cocktails are extremely cheap from 11pm till closing - BUY 2 FREE 1 at RM 56++ for selected cocktails (Martini, Margarita & Mojito - Any flavors). I am not sure about other branches, but Movida Ipoh serves great cocktails. Compared to the one I had back then at The Library, Midvalley the cocktails here are the winner. Carlsberg (3 pints priced at RM 60++) from 11pm till closing.

(The Library, Midvalley)

Served in PLASTIC glass and the cocktail is a big NO NOI've changed twice, but yet the taste is terrible. When checked with the Supervisor why served in plastic glass, he told me that this is the actual way cocktail is being served. Oh come on, tell me about it! I will never patronizing there again not only because of the drinks, but their service is disappointing too.

Okay, end of my story. Let's go back to Movida Ipoh. Here's how a cocktail supposed to look like (The frozen version of a Margarita). The Lychee Margarita is awesome with the right amount of alcohol and big pieces of lychees, it makes a perfect drink for the summer.

Movida Ipoh closes at 3am daily. However, we already make a move around 1.30am and called it a night.

#DINEWITHME: THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR | SS15, SUBANG JAYA (KL)

Whooppsss...I just had my dinner!  What am I doing here? Come on, it's Friday! Let's chill a 'lil - Dinner extended. To be frank, I don't have much time to spend around ever since I've joined an award-winning agency few months ago. Life's pretty hectic everyday, with extreme workload and countless days of overtime.  And just because I have relocated myself to another area, my hangout place changes too. What makes the best option would be the one nearest to my office, with less traffic congestion.  Thanks to my bunch of friends whom always put me on a priority, they make the effort to come to a meeting point near me instead.  I was brought to this restaurant the other day by my friends and I found it quite a waste not to share such an interesting place with all of you.  Let me introduce you to -  THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR. Upon walking in, I was amazed by their simple yet welcoming ambiance. I was ushered in by rows of wine displ...

#DINEWITHME: YUK SOU HIN | WEIL HOTEL (IPOH)

Done with my busy schedules, I finally have the time to sit down and blog about my dining experience at YUK SOU HIN @ WEIL HOTEL (IPOH) which took place about two months ago.  I was being invited by the hotel's PR Team at the first place to drop by and review the dim sum which was spearheaded by their   Hong Kong Master Chef, Mr. Chung Ho Shi but unfortunately I'm unable to attend. Later after that, I visited the restaurant with my mum when I dropped by in Ipoh the other day.  It was a busy morning. We went to the restaurant around 11am without any advance reservation, and it took us about 25 minutes to settle down with a table.  The restaurant was packed with customers that day, due to Public Holiday.  Not my first dining experience at Weil Hotel,  YUK SOU HIN  is the final restaurant to wrap up my adventure at this new hotel besides than  THE DECK  and  TIFFIN .  Bored while waiting, I started to explore around and tappin...
