#DINEWITHME - SCENIC CAFE GARDEN, IPOH

Whenever I travel back to #Ipoh, time seemed to be never enough for my use. I'll be seen buying things at the famous old stall or perhaps eating under a tree or a small stall by the roadside.

This round I am going to introduce a #Cafe - the one that I often missed out when driving pass; taking corner at the traffic lights each and everytime. In my mind, "well, it's just a plant nursery" - and I don't bother to look more.

#Scenic Cafe Garden appeared more like a traditional Malay restaurant at my first sight. With "pondok" surrounding the landscape and heavy influences of "kampung" feel, my attention poured into the ambiance setting.

The moment you step into the cafe, you'll be amazed with the "kampung" house. Warmly lit, it welcomes you with a high ceiling, colored glass windows and "atap" roofing.

Christmas tree can be seen due to the festive season

Detailed decoration

The cafe is rather big and was divided into main dining and room dining under air conditioned. You can see most of the furniture are made of wood in the cafe.

Since it's lunch time, we were given the Set Lunch Menu besides than the Ala Carte's. Here's part of the menu, not overall which I've snapped down:-

Set Lunch Menu

Western Meals - Ala Carte Menu

#Sabah Tea Menu

Mum and I ordered the Set Lunch menu, which mum tried on the Asian (Traditional Nasi Lemak) while I ordered the Western cuisine (Pan Grilled Chicken).  Both set comes with a soup, drink and dessert.

Iced & Hot Lemon Sabah Tea

Iced / Hot water is charged at RM 1/glass
(No sky juice, please)

Soup for Traditional Nasi Lemak set

Traditional Nasi Lemak
(Aromatic coconut steamed rice served with sambal, egg, ikan bilis, rendang chicken and traditional condiments.)

Chicken soup for Western Set
(In my opinion, the soup is rather watery and tasteless) - feeling "meh"

Pan Grilled Chicken
(Pan grilled boneless chicken whole leg and served with mixed salad, French fries or Mashed Potato with a choice of black pepper, mushroom or garlic cream sauce.)

How big is the portion?
Check my plate!

Dessert after the meal

After paying the bill, I walked towards the shelves to check on the items - because the cute "orang utan" plush toy attracted me over. :D

Hi-tea is also available from 3.00pm to 6.00pm

The overall dining was pleasant and has been marked as a place to dine rather than just a "plant nursery" all along this time. Leaving some memories here with a few photos of mine.

#DINEWITHME: THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR | SS15, SUBANG JAYA (KL)

Whooppsss...I just had my dinner!  What am I doing here? Come on, it's Friday! Let's chill a 'lil - Dinner extended. To be frank, I don't have much time to spend around ever since I've joined an award-winning agency few months ago. Life's pretty hectic everyday, with extreme workload and countless days of overtime.  And just because I have relocated myself to another area, my hangout place changes too. What makes the best option would be the one nearest to my office, with less traffic congestion.  Thanks to my bunch of friends whom always put me on a priority, they make the effort to come to a meeting point near me instead.  I was brought to this restaurant the other day by my friends and I found it quite a waste not to share such an interesting place with all of you.  Let me introduce you to -  THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR. Upon walking in, I was amazed by their simple yet welcoming ambiance. I was ushered in by rows of wine displ...

#DINEWITHME: YUK SOU HIN | WEIL HOTEL (IPOH)

Done with my busy schedules, I finally have the time to sit down and blog about my dining experience at YUK SOU HIN @ WEIL HOTEL (IPOH) which took place about two months ago.  I was being invited by the hotel's PR Team at the first place to drop by and review the dim sum which was spearheaded by their   Hong Kong Master Chef, Mr. Chung Ho Shi but unfortunately I'm unable to attend. Later after that, I visited the restaurant with my mum when I dropped by in Ipoh the other day.  It was a busy morning. We went to the restaurant around 11am without any advance reservation, and it took us about 25 minutes to settle down with a table.  The restaurant was packed with customers that day, due to Public Holiday.  Not my first dining experience at Weil Hotel,  YUK SOU HIN  is the final restaurant to wrap up my adventure at this new hotel besides than  THE DECK  and  TIFFIN .  Bored while waiting, I started to explore around and tappin...
