I heard a lot about Air Fryer recently from advertisements and also cooking forums. This item has been selling like hot cupcakes! What is Air Fryer actually and what is so special about them? 

An Air Fryer is a kitchen appliance that works by using high speed hot air circulation. It does not requires oil when frying. The fryer produces hot air when working and a mechanical fan begin circulating very fast around the food, which fry the food and produces a crispy layer when done.

My first attempt of preparing a whole roasted chicken turned out to be extremely PERFECT! The skin is so crispy and the meat is so juicy inside. No kidding, it's absolutely a double thumbs up meal.  


Roasted Rosemary Lemon Whole Chicken

ROASTED ROSEMARY LEMON WHOLE CHICKEN

Ingredients:

1 Whole Chicken (Cleaned & Pat Dry)
Few stalks Fresh Rosemary 
Salt & Black Pepper
1 Fresh Lemon  
Butter (Room temperature)

Preparation:
1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. 
2. Squeeze the juice out of a half lemon and pour on the chicken. 
3. Stuff the other half lemon inside the chicken with some rosemary.
4. Rub some butter on the chicken and let it marinate for at least 8 hours or overnight.

Here's a little tips to roast the same like mine:

Temperature: 150
Cooking time: 60 minutes
Press: Roast

(To crisp & brown the skin)
Temperature: 230
Final cooking time: 10 minutes

Once done, let it rest for at least 10 minutes before carving.

Caramel Popcorn











Pop the corn as simple as A, B & C!
Temperature: 230
Cooking time: 9 minutes
Press: Fries

PERFECT POPCORN RECIPE

Ingredients:
1 cup corn kernels

How to make: 
(Please make in separate batches. One handful of corn kernels can produce 1 cage of popcorn)

1. Put a handful high quality corn kernels into the baking cage
2. Cover the cage
3. Press "Fries" at set timing for 9 minutes
4. Your popcorn is ready!

Once done, you may add in your preferred flavors like Caramel or etc.

MICROWAVE CARAMEL SAUCE

Ingredients:
1/4 cup white corn syrup
1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Making caramel in microwave:

1. Combine corn syrup, butter and sugar in a large microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes.
2. Stir and microwave for another 2 minutes.
3. Stir in the baking soda and vanilla extract
4. The syrup will bubble up quite a bit, so be careful!

Pour the syrup over the popcorn.

Grilled Japanese Shishamo with Terriyaki Sauce

Temperature: 230
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Press: Fries

GRILLED JAPANESE SHISHAMO WITH TERRIYAKI SAUCE

Ingredients:
Japanese Shishamo fish
Olive oil (To drizzle)
Terriyaki sauce
Salt

HOW TO MAKE: 

1. In a large plate, coat the Shishamo with a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
2. Lay the fishes onto the Steak Cage.
3. On high heat 230 power setting, press "Fries" and let it grill for 15 minutes.
4. When it turns golden brown and crispy, remove and layer the fishes with terriyaki sauce.
5. Put the fishes back into the air fryer and continue grilling for another 5 minutes.






Once your Shishamo is ready, remove and serve on a plate. To garnish, drizzle some terriyaki sauce onto the grilled fishes. A slice of lemon wedges to compliment would be perfect. Enjoy!

Chocolate Moist Cake


Temperature: 230
Cooking time: 50 - 60 minutes
Press: Bake

CHOCOLATE MOIST CAKE

Ingredients:
150gm Granulated Sugar
3 Whole Eggs
270ml Full cream milk
170gm Butter
1 pack Pre-mix Chocolate Moist cake mixture

Aluminum foil
Butter (to grease)

HOW TO MAKE:

1. Cream butter and sugar till fluffy.
2. Add in the eggs, one at a time and mix.
3. Then put in the pre-mix flour slowly and rotate with milk into the cake batter.
4. Repeat until the flour and milk are completely used.
5. Cover the pan with aluminum foil. Grease with butter.
6. Pour the mixture into the greased pan.

NOTE:
Preheat the Air Fryer for 5 minutes at 230 power before putting in the cupcakes to bake.

HOW TO BAKE:

1. Cover the cake with a sheet of aluminum foil on top. At 230 power setting, bake the cupcakes for 50 - 60 minutes.
2. Remove the aluminum foil, poke a toothpick in the center of the cake and check if it's cook.
3. If the toothpick comes out clean, your cake is ready.
4. Set to cool at least 20 minutes before enjoying.
5. Slice and serve.

Chocolate Moist Cupcakes


Temperature: 230
Cooking time: 39 minutes 

Temperature: 180
Final Cooking time: 20 minutes 

Press: Bake 

CHOCOLATE MOIST CUPCAKES
Ingredients:

NOTE:

HOW TO BAKE:
(Please bake in separate batches. The below baking time is for a batch of 4 cupcakes per time)

1. Cover the cupcakes with a sheet of aluminum foil. At 230 power setting, bake the cupcakes for 39 minutes.
2. Lower down the power to 180 and bake for another 20 minutes.
3. Your cupcake is now ready.
4. Remove the aluminum foil, lift up and set to cool before enjoying.
