If you were to asked what are the drinks that I preferred most? I would have answered - Champagne and Wine. So, the first thing that came into my mind when I'm here is the wine. Since I have placed an order for my juicy slab of steak meal, red wine would be the best idea. Not wanting to wait any longer, I started the night with my favorite wine, Merlot.

Oyster Bay - Merlot

Vibrant, alluring flavors of juicy black plum and sweetberry fruits, with an exquisite background of spice, subtle oak and fine grain tannins.

Click here for more info about this wine.

Hands up for all Oyster lovers!
If you loves pairing wine with this amazing starter, SPITALFIELD'S GASTROBAR also serves extremely fresh oysters air-flown from overseas every Thursday* . This oyster platter is something to die for. You got to try this!

Freshly Shucked Oysters (Seasonal)*
RM 61 onwards (1/2 or 1 dozen)

My steak came sizzling hot with a pot of delicious sauce. I also ordered an additional basket of Truffle scented french fries as the side dish. To enjoy my meal to the max, I came out with my own crazy idea by pouring a good amount of the red wine on the steak and let it sizzled together. Now, that's a luxury meal!

Sizzle Or Not Angus Striploin 300gm (RM 67)
Classic steak in hot sizzling plate served with Truffle Scented French Fries (RM 14)

Besides than the steak, I also tried their recommended dish - Slow Roast Pork Roulade. A dish prepared by stuffing the pork belly with raisin and Mortadella ham and slowly roasted for 6 hours in the oven to create a layer of extremely crispy skin yet maintaining the juiciness of the meat. It is served with slow baked vegetables and their signature sauce.

Slow Roast Pork Roulade (RM 36)
Available from 6pm onwards

I would highly recommend you to try their Jack's ribs. It is a dish made with selected ribs baked slowly with chef special made sauce for 4 hours in slow oven, served with Sri Lankan's chili flakes. The ribs are so tender and moist! This melt in your mouth ribs are so delicious; you can eat it on its own without the dipping sauce.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Jack's Ribs
Half Slab (RM 48) / Full Slab (RM 90)

Pork Chops (RM 32)
Grilled Sakura pork chop with baked roots

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:
Sizzling Chocolate Bacon Brownie with Ice Cream (RM 23)

I love this so much!
The brownie is warm and delicious. Chocolate sauce is thick and not too sweet.

Sweet Rose Wine

Perfect pint of Guinness

Other than trying out the Red wine, Rose Wine and Guinness, I also had my another love - Moscato D'Asti (Bosio). It is a semi-sweet, lightly sparkling, low-alcohol wine from Piedmont, northwestern Italy. The wine taste so good, just like drinking fruit juice.

Moscato D'Asti - Bosio (Piedmont, Italy)

Smell - Honey and Flower
Taste - Sweet and Fragrant

Have you ever heard of MONKEY 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin ? This gin is rare and not commonly available at bars in Kuala Lumpur. But don't worry! You can enjoy this premium liquor here.

Just when I thought the dinner session is over, out of no where came a flaming board to my table. To my surprised, it was my belated "birthday cake" with some serious flame on it! This dessert was brought to a whole new level with a crazy splash of Absinthe. Who needs the candle anyway? Fire up, please!

Creme Brulee (RM 20)
Add Absinthe (RM 12)

The one that I had is the Absinthe version

The belated birthday celebration got merrier when Chrie got me a Dom Perignon Brut. Some serious party is happening here - yes, I know! This dear friend of mine always have new ideas and never failed to put a smile on my face.

One very expensive birthday "present"
Shall we pop the Dom now?

Don't like drinking from the glass?
Ralf has got a better option!

Dom Perignon Brut (RM 1,138.00 per bottle)

From Red wine to Moscato, Guinness and Dom Perignon, I had a good night here at SPITALFIELD'S GASTROBAR. The environment is very chilling; perfect for a nightout with some friends or family. I'll come back next round for more food! Watch this space.

#DINEWITHME: THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR | SS15, SUBANG JAYA (KL)

Whooppsss...I just had my dinner!  What am I doing here? Come on, it's Friday! Let's chill a 'lil - Dinner extended. To be frank, I don't have much time to spend around ever since I've joined an award-winning agency few months ago. Life's pretty hectic everyday, with extreme workload and countless days of overtime.  And just because I have relocated myself to another area, my hangout place changes too. What makes the best option would be the one nearest to my office, with less traffic congestion.  Thanks to my bunch of friends whom always put me on a priority, they make the effort to come to a meeting point near me instead.  I was brought to this restaurant the other day by my friends and I found it quite a waste not to share such an interesting place with all of you.  Let me introduce you to -  THE PENTHOUSE RESTAURANT & WINE BAR. Upon walking in, I was amazed by their simple yet welcoming ambiance. I was ushered in by rows of wine displ...

#DINEWITHME: YUK SOU HIN | WEIL HOTEL (IPOH)

Done with my busy schedules, I finally have the time to sit down and blog about my dining experience at YUK SOU HIN @ WEIL HOTEL (IPOH) which took place about two months ago.  I was being invited by the hotel's PR Team at the first place to drop by and review the dim sum which was spearheaded by their   Hong Kong Master Chef, Mr. Chung Ho Shi but unfortunately I'm unable to attend. Later after that, I visited the restaurant with my mum when I dropped by in Ipoh the other day.  It was a busy morning. We went to the restaurant around 11am without any advance reservation, and it took us about 25 minutes to settle down with a table.  The restaurant was packed with customers that day, due to Public Holiday.  Not my first dining experience at Weil Hotel,  YUK SOU HIN  is the final restaurant to wrap up my adventure at this new hotel besides than  THE DECK  and  TIFFIN .  Bored while waiting, I started to explore around and tappin...
